Creating QR Codes

You can create QR codes in several ways: the trackable QR builder, batch upload, download-only static codes, and temporary preview codes. This page describes the main screens, tabs, and actions.

Trackable QR builder

The Trackable QR builder creates hosted QR codes that redirect through Quantum SmartQR, collect analytics, and can be edited later.

• Content - Destination URL, friendly name, description, and tags. A destination URL is required before the QR can be created.
• Templates - Preset visual styles. Templates and Style are available in preview mode before sign-in; advanced management requires an account.
• Style - Module shape, finder shape, colors, and gradients.
• Badge & Text - Frame shape, badge options, padding, and label text.
• Logo - Upload or select a workspace logo from the Logo Library.
• Options - Error correction, module size, UTM fields, schedule, expiration, and webhook options when available.
• Redirect Rules - Smart Redirect rules when your plan includes them.

The live preview is a style preview until you save the QR code. Create the QR before printing, downloading, or sharing it.

Result page

After you create a code you see the QR detail page. Common actions include:

• Create Another - Opens the create flow again.
• Open Destination - Opens the destination URL in a new tab.
• Download - Saves the QR image.
• Copy Link - Copies the scan URL to the clipboard.
• Share - Opens email, X, or LinkedIn sharing for the scan URL.
• Edit - Change name, destination URL, description, or advanced settings.
• Export CSV - Download scan events for the selected date range.

You also see the QR image, scan URL, destination URL, overview stats, scan trend, audience insights, and recent scan events.

Batch create

Batch create lets you upload a CSV to create many QR codes at once. Use Download sample CSV to see the exact format.

• target_url is required and must contain the destination URL for each QR code.
• friendly_name, description, and custom_tags are optional. Tags can be comma-separated.
• The flow is two-step: choose a file and click Preview Batch, review validation results, then click Create QR codes.

Download-only QR codes

Download-only QR codes embed data directly, such as Wi-Fi, vCard, plain text, or static URLs. They do not redirect through Quantum SmartQR and do not use analytics.

Preview QR screen

From the Preview QR page you can create a temporary QR without signing in.

• Destination URL - Required. Enter an http or https URL.
• Template - Available when signed in; anonymous previews use a plain QR.
• Create preview QR - Generates the temporary QR and shows scan URL, destination, expiration, scan limit, status, and scans used.
• Email claim link - Sends a link that lets you claim the preview into your account so it becomes a full managed code.

Preview codes expire and have scan limits. Claiming moves the code into your workspace and preserves scan count.
