Tags

Create tags, apply them to QR codes, and filter campaigns.

Tags help you group QR codes by campaign, customer, location, owner, or internal workflow. They are useful for filtering large QR lists and keeping analytics exports organized.

Adding tags

  • Single QR: add tags in the QR Designer, in the edit modal on My QR Codes (Advanced tab), or on the QR result page.
  • Bulk update: on My QR Codes, select multiple rows and use Add Tags or Remove Tags in the bulk actions bar.
  • Batch CSV: use the custom_tags column with comma-separated tag names.
  • API: send tag values in the QR create or update payload when supported by your token scope.

Tag naming tips

  • Use short names that match how your team searches, such as spring-launch, store-102, or sales.
  • Avoid putting sensitive personal data in tags. Tags can appear in lists, filters, exports, and support views.
  • Use a consistent delimiter such as hyphens for multi-word tags.
  • In the tag editor, press Enter or comma to add a tag; Backspace removes the last tag when the field is empty.

Finding tagged QR codes

  1. Open My QR Codes.
  2. Use the Tag dropdown in the filter bar to show only codes with that tag.
  3. Combine with search, status, and sort options as needed.
  4. Open the QR result page to review analytics for an individual code.

Troubleshooting

  • Tag is missing after upload: confirm the CSV column is named custom_tags.
  • Filter does not match: check spelling and separators. spring launch and spring-launch are different tag values.
  • Bulk tag did not apply: confirm you selected at least one QR code before using Add Tags or Remove Tags.
  • Too many inconsistent tags: choose a small naming convention and clean up older QR codes during campaign reviews.
